CSOFT’s 11th Annual Summit is just a week away and we are so excited to open our door to globalization leaders and linguists from around the world. Enveloped under the theme “ Innovation in the Sharing Economy, ” the invitation-only conference will focus on how technology and innovation contribute to transforming the world.
In today’s society, businesses and consumers are able to gather, share, and send information more efficiently than ever before. This efficiency is allowing businesses to standardize their operational infrastructure to reflect a more productive world, while also influencing consumers to use alternative ways to drive consumption.
Businesses that have successfully tied innovation to a shared economy have pioneered this new age of global expansion. First-to-market companies, such as Uber and AirBnB, have launched algorithmic software systems that not only allow people to share information in an instantaneous manner, but also create scale benefits for both demanders and suppliers. These applications help lay the groundwork for increased modernization, and bridge the gap between technology and information.
This increased ability to connect people and businesses, via a shared economy, allows global markets to become more cohesive, and eventually more localized. Here at CSOFT, we believe the localization industry will play an even greater role in the sharing economy and there’s no better time for a fruitful discussion on such a poignant topic than at the Summit on Thursday, Sept 17th in Beijing.
We are expecting 250 attendees from over 30 countries. There will be plenty of rich and insightful discourse led by a line-up of top notch key industry players. We believe participants involved in the localization industries will also benefit greatly from our afternoon sessions titled “Creating Contents for China Companies Going Global” and “Managing Quality, Time and Cost in Localization.”
Don’t forget that the Summit will feature a debate session titled “Machine vs. Human,” a deeper analysis of a potential threat to the linguistic community imposed by machine translation technology. If you’re not coming to the event, be sure to check back frequently for updates, summaries and highlights.
